He is Real
New polling from a research group at the University of Chicago shows that nearly 50 percent of Americans doubt the existence of God, and the numbers are growing. Yet God, eager that His creation should know Him, has revealed Himself in both general and special revelation. General revelation refers to what He has shown you in nature—starry skies, sunsets, flowers, and animals. Special revelation is what you can discover of the truth of His nature from Scripture and personal experience. Without God, there is no beauty, no conscience, no ethics, and no life. Even avowed and widely-taught atheist and existentialist Jean-Paul Sartre came to a personal knowledge of God. “The Lord… is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).
